Arsenal could get a chance to sign Karim Benzema in the January transfer window.
The Gunners have been linked with the striker for more than a decade and it is believed we are big fans of his.
Benzema has been poor for Madrid this season and has scored just one goal in eight La Liga games, resulting in him receiving a lot of stick for Real’s poor form.
However, the Mirror say Benzema blames Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo for his poor form. He could then look to leave the Bernabeu if things don’t change.
And according to the Daily Star via the Daily Cannon, Arsenal are still interested in signing Benzema, despite shelling out a club record £52m fee to sign Lacazette last summer.
The report say Arsenal could now use Benzema’s fall out with Madrid chiefs to its advantage and then launch a bid for the striker.
The forward only scored his third and fourth goal of the season on Tuesday against Apoel Nicosia, which is a poor stat for a player of his calibre
At 30, it is evident that Benzema’s best years are behind him, so I don’t see any reason why Arsenal should go for him. I really don’t see a move for the striker happening.
