Manchester United will make a £35m offer for Mexico star Hirving Lozano, according to latest reports.
Lozano, who plays his club football with Dutch side PSV Eindhoven, was one of the stars of El Tri’s World Cup campaign, helping his side reach the last 16 stage before they were eliminated by Brazil.
His performances have drawn the attention of Barcelona who have already made an approach for the 24-year-old, according to the player’s father.
Arsenal have also been credited with interest but United are also now prepared to enter the fray, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
The Italian outlet reports Jose Mourinho’s side will open negotiations with PSV in the coming days with United said to be serious about bringing him in this summer.
Lozano was initially linked with a move to Old Trafford prior to leaving Mexican side Pahuca, before PSV eventually won his signature.
The winger spent much of last season operating on the left for the Dutch side although he also had roles to play down the right and in a more central role.
With doubts over Anthony Martial’s future at Old Trafford, United could be in the market for another attacking option.
The former Monaco starlet has indicated through his agent he wishes to leave the club this summer having grown disillusioned with life under Mourinho, having been phased out of his starting XI during the second half of last season.
United have made three additions to their squad so far this summer, wrapping up deals for Portuguese full-back Diogo Dalot and Brazil midfielder Fred.
Veteran goalkeeper Lee Grant has also joined the club from Stoke City to act as cover for David de Gea and Sergio Romero.
