Chris Smalling picked up a groin problem during the final stages of the 2-2 draw against Leicester City and is a doubt for the home meeting with Burnley.

Elsewhere, Antonio Valencia missed out against the Foxes due to a hamstring injury and is unlikely to return.

Victor Lindelof deputised at right-back on Saturday and looks likely to retain his start with Marcos Rojo set to come in alongside Phil Jones should Smalling miss out.

Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic should continue at the base of midfield in the 4-2-3-1 formation, while Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard are likely to retain their places in the attacking midfield roles.

Anthony Martial was replaced by Marcus Rashford after 71 minutes on Saturday so the latter could get the nod on the left flank.

Eric Bailly is a long-term absentee, while Marouane Fellaini (knee) and Michael Carrick (illness) miss out once again.
