PSV forward Hirving Lozano says he is not paying attention to reports linking him with a move to Arsenal.
Lozano left his homeland, Mexico, for the Dutch league in the summer and has adapted superbly to life at his new club.
Arsenal have been on Lozano’s trail for quite sometime but his move to PSV hasn’t stopped the club from keeping an eye on his development.
Club chief scout Steve Rowley has been regular at PSV games this season to watch Lozano in action.
Reports followed up Rowley’s trips by claiming Arsenal have identified Lozano as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez and are planning a January bid.
It’s even being claimed that Arsenal are willing to pay as much as €25m for the striker who is yet to spend up to six months in Europe.
Speaking about the reported interest from other clubs, Lozano said he is only focused on his team but doesn’t know how long he will stay there.
“How long do I play at PSV ? I do not know that, he is quoted as saying by Tribal Football, after last weekend’s game against Hercules.
“I am now a 100 per cent focused on the team and hope to play for years. PSV is a beautiful club with fantastic people.”
Lozano has scored six goals in his first seven games for PSV since joining them. An impressive stat I must say.
However, I don’t see any reason why we should be paying as much as €25m to sign him. Yes, he is talented but not the kind of player we should be spending that much on.
