Olivier Giroud’s agent Micheal Manuello has ruled out a January move to Turkey or China for the French striker, according to the Daily Cannon.
The striker’s role at the club has been reduced since the arrival of his compatriot Alexander Lacazette and faces an uncertain future as he fights for a place in France World Cup squad.
The French international has been linked with a move to Fernabache this January, but his agent has quashed that link and claims the 31-year-old won’t leave just for money.
“He listens, watches and afterwards he’ll see. There’s no sense in leaving for leaving sake,” he told the press
“it has to be coherent and bring him something more.
“He’ll get playing time at Arsenal, the second half of the season is important, with competitions to play, even if he’s only playing Europa League.”
“He’s not interested in [moving to Turkey]. China neither. Leaving to earn more money is not what is foremost in his thinking.
“Olivier never gives up; he fights for everything. Even if you tell him it’s impossible, he’ll listen to you, but he’ll make you understand that he doesn’t think the same thing”
In reality though, Olivier Giroud’s game time at the club is not so bad, having started all the cup and Europa league games he has been fit for along with 14 league appearances off the bench, it shows how highly Arsene Wenger thinks of him.
Olivier Giroud in my opinion is the best back up striker in the league, and while his agent ruling out a move to Turkey and China does not rule out a move entirely, Arsenal will be hoping he stays and continue chipping in with those super sub performances.
