Mesut Ozil has been labeled “Agent Ozil” by Arsenal fans for getting in touch with Alexis Sanchez. Arsenal beat Bayern Munich in the Shanghai pre-season friendly yesterday, but Sanchez is not with the squad as he recovers after international duty with Chile. Sanchez wants to leave for a Champion’s League club with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain interested.
Ozil reminds Sanchez of Arsenal by tweeting him a picture of some dogs, a nod to the striker’s pet’s “Atom” and “Humber”.
Will Ozil tactics work?
More on PSG interest in Alexis Sanchez. Unai Emery has confirmed the Ligue 1 club is keen on a deal for the Chilean. And Le Parisian claim today that PSG has sent Sporting Director Antonio Henrique to London to broker a deal. PSG believe they can get the striker for as little as £35.5M. But Arsenal insist they don’t want to sell.

Calum Chambers on the way out?
Arsenal have also reportedly rejected a £16M bid from Crystal Palace for the transfer of unsettled defender Calum Chambers. The Gunners are said to be holding out for as much as £20m for the former Southampton man, who spent last season on loan at Middleborough after falling down the pecking order at Arsenal.
Arsenal has sent a scout to watch the latest up and coming talent at the Belo Horizonte Cup. The bit cup kicks off this week and has proven to be a goldmine for spotting talent in the past. The grassroots competition brings under-17 sides together across the country, attacking the attention from numerous top scouts.
On the field
Petr Cech refused to lift the pre-season trophy Arsenal were bizarrely awarded for beating Bayern Munich on penalties in their friendly in Shanghai. After a late equalizer from Alex Iwobi made it 1-1 after 90 minutes, the Gunners beat Bayern thanks to a penalty shootout victory, with back-up goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez producing crucial saves.
Afterwards Arsenal were presented with a small trophy during a rather awkward on-pitch ceremony, but Cech refuse to lift it telling other players, this is not the trophy we lift guys.
“This is not the trophy we lift; let’s lift the big one at the end of the season. Not this one”.
But Cech cracked a smile when Arsenal’s over enthusiastic players lifted it anyway.
