Alexandre Lacazette has hailed two of Arsenal’s youngsters and is backing them to make an impact in the first team in the near future.
Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah are two of Arsenal’s brightest prospects and have been training with the first team for quite sometime.
Apparently Lacazette has been impressed with their talents and has tipped both players to achieve stardom at Arsenal.
Nelson and Nketiah are both yet to make their Premier League debuts for Arsenal but Lacazette doesn’t think it will be long before they do so.
‘He’s already impressed me during pre-season,’ said Lacazette of Nelson, who made his senior debut as a substitute in the Europa League game against Koln on Thursday.
‘It’s great to see what he’s been doing for the Under-23s, his stats are very good and he’s performing very well.
‘When he’s played with us he has shown he has real quality
‘I really like Eddie Nketiah as well he’s a great striker at the academy. He’s also already impressed me during pre-season.’
Arsenal are one of the few clubs that gives youngster the opportunity to progress into the first team from the academy and both players will definitely be happy they are here.
The future is bright for them and all they have to do is take Alex Iwobi, Hector Bellerin and Jack Wilshere – players who have gone on to make a big impact in the first team from the academy as their source of inspiration.
