Alexis Sanchez transfer saga has taken a new turn, with Real Madrid emerging as potential suitors for the player, according to The Express.
The Chilean has six months left on his contract, and nearly joined Man City in the summer, but Arsenal’s failure to land Thomas Lemar stopped his move.
Spanish outlet Don Balon now claim that Real Madrid have entered the race to sign the 29 year old, who would come at a cheap price.
They also claim that Alexis Sanchez wants the move to Real Madrid and has already told his agent to sort a deal out to enable him move to the Spanish capital.
Wenger revealed that he is not concerned about losing the want away forward after the Crystal Palace game where he scored a brace to help Arsenal to a 3-2 win.
“I am not fearful but as you said that will be a subject that arises because of his contractual situation,” he said
“I never questioned his commitment but when you have his contract situation and have as a good a game, people question you.
“I can only repeat what I said until now.”
However, Man City, PSG and now Real Madrid will all be looking to win the race and sign him in January.
The fact that he is eligible to play in the Champions league for anyone that signs him makes it all the more an attractive option for them.
