Arsenal would consider selling want away man Alexis Sanchez in January if a good offer comes, with concerns growing among players and staff over his commitment, according to the Daily Mail.
Alexis has six months left on his contract and has made his desire to leave the club very obvious. He almost got his wish granted in the summer, but failure to seal a deal for his replacement meant that Arsenal blocked the Chilean’s transfer to Man City on deadline day.
But since then his attitude has annoyed both players and staff, with a number of bust ups, the most recent being a heated exchange of words after the 1-1 draw against Southampton in early December.
Wenger has over the past few months repeatedly insisted he would keep him, but the Metro believes there’s a sense that the club will be looking to cash in on him in January.
The Daily Mail believes that Arsenal would consider bids in the region of £35 million in January, with Man City, PSG and Madrid all credited with interest in the forward.
Alexis Sanchez attitude has become a concern, with his teammates’ refusal to celebrate with him after scoring against Crystal Palace showing just how bad his relationship with the squad has gotten, and such ill feeling among the players is likely to reduce team morale and be detrimental to the club going forward.
A player who already has his mind set on leaving either in January or for free at the end of the season isn’t worth such risk in my opinion.
