Arsenal are ahead of Liverpool in the race to sign Paris Saint Germain winger Julian Draxler, according to Bookies.
The winger could be sold by PSG in January as they struggle to comply with financial fair play rules.
He’s been linked with Liverpool and Arsenal in recent weeks, with both clubs said to have made contact with the player’s representatives.
Bookmakers Betstars have now placed Arsenal as favorites to sign the German ahead of Liverpool. The Gunners are placed at 3/1 to be Draxler’s next club while Klopp’s men follows closely at 4/1.
“Having brought in superstar attackers Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in the summer, PSG could be set to ship winger Julian Draxler out of the club in January”, a Betstars spokesperson said, as quoted by the Daily Star.
“Arsenal (3/1) and Liverpool (4/1) are the most likely destinations for the German international, who is believed to be interested in a move to the Premier League.
“With Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil set to leave the club in the summer, Arsenal have emerged as the favourites to sign Draxler in January.
“Bundesliga sides Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have both been linked with bringing the PSG winger back to Germany; they are at 4/1 and 8/1 respectively.
“Juventus (8/1) and Manchester United (14/1) are also in contention but are not frontrunners to sign Draxler.”
Draxler has scored just twice for PSG this season, which is four less than he scored for the French club last season despite joining them only in January. Apart from his drop in performance, he’s found him behind Neymar, Mbappe, Di Maria and Lucas Moura in tbe French club’s pecking order.
