Olivier Giroud says he will be patient and wait for a starting spot with Arsenal.
The Frenchman has been limited to Europa League and Carabao Cup starts this season.
But he has claimed that he is happy to play back up to the Gunners’ record signing Alexandre Lacazette.
And even though game time is currently limited at the Emirates Stadium, he insists he will still give his all when he is called upon by boss Arsene Wenger.
“My best season was in 2015/2016 when I scored 34 goals with Arsenal and the national team, including the Euros,” Giroud said.
“Usually I play a bit less with Arsenal but I always try to keep my efficiency high. That’s most important for me.
“I keep believing in my quality and I keep the faith.
“I have a lot of objectives with Arsenal and my country so I always try to move forward and keep scoring.”
Giroud scored for France against Wales and with it became the country’s sixth greatest ever goalscorer.
He is now only one goal behind his hero Jean-Pierre Papin’s total of 30.
Zinedine Zidane, David Trezeguet, Michel Platini and Thierry Henry make up the top four places.
“I’m very grateful,” Giroud said.
“I’m very proud and I always try to bring something to the national team.
“It’s always a pleasure to play for the national team and I think we played a good game.
“We have a better understanding on the pitch now especially with the young players so we are very delighted.”
