Real Madrid could join the race to sign Hector Bellerin, according to reports in Spain.
The Spanish media won’t stop linking Bellerin with a return to his homeland, despite the player still having about five years left in his contract here.
Throughout the summer, he was heavily linked with a return to Barcelona, however that didn’t happen and the Catalans ended up signing Nelson Semendo.
But Spanish outlet Don Balon [ via the Express] say Bellerin is now on Madrid’s radar.
The report says Madrid are looking to sign a new right back after Dani Carvajal was diagnosed with a heart condition that will keep him out of action for a long time.
This has led to reports of Bellerin moving to the Bernabeu.
The report also suggests the defender will be available for as low as £35m despite taking into consideration the amount City spent on Kyle Walker in the summer.
I don’t expect Arsenal to do business with Madrid or any other club over Bellerin in January anyway. Wenger wouldn’t want to lose such a key player mid-season especially when he is under pressure to guide us back to the Champions League.
I don’t also see the possibility of Bellerin leaving anytime soon either, not when we are about to lose two key players in Ozil and Sanchez.
