Hector Bellerin admitted Arsenal weren’t happy with the draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The Gunners put up a disciplined display on Sunday afternoon, earning a goalless draw against Chelsea at the end of the day.
It was the first time that a club stopped Chelsea from scoring at Stamford Bridge since Antonio Conte took over last year and despite the achievement, Bellerin said Arsenal were disappointed with the outcome of the match.
Arsenal defended well on the night and was actually the better team going forward but wastefulness in front of the opposition goal, meant we couldn’t take all three points.
Speaking in the post match interview, Bellerin said, as quoted by Standard Sports:
“I’m disappointed because we had chances to win the game.” “To be fair they had a few as well, but I think if we would have been efficient at the beginning of the game it would have been completely different with the chances we had.
“Obviously we know it’s a hard venue to come to and we can’t really be that disappointed with a point because it was well-fought by both teams, but the fact that we thought we could have come away with a win was disappointing.”
A point away from home against a fierce rival is an acceptable result for us. Some of us may even consider it more than acceptable, considering the world claimed we stood no chance against Conte’s men.
