Marco Reus has hinted at the possibility of leaving Borussia Dortmund, handing Arsenal a huge boost in the process.
The Gunners are said to be interested in the striker as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez who could leave at the end of the season.
Man Utd are also said to be interested in the midfielder who has developed into one of Europe’s fiercest wingers. It isn’t surprising he is attracting interest from a host of top clubs as it is the least you would expect from a top player like him.
Reus is currently out with a cruciate knee injury which will keep him out of action until the new year but that hasn’t discouraged his suitors.
His contract expires at the end of 2019, when he will turn 30 and the Germany international knows he has just one more opportunity to earn a big pay check.
Reus told GQ, as quoted by Manchester Evening News: “There are four or five international clubs who interest me.
“On May 31 2019, I will turn 30. That would be my last big contract and a final opportunity to try something different.
“I have to be honest and fair and say I don’t know where I’ll end up. At the moment, I’m very happy in Dortmund and not thinking about what happens after 2019. But, of course, the time will come and then I will sit down and calmly make a decision.”
However, It will be interesting to see if Wenger will be prepared to do whatever it takes to sign Reus, after he seemingly opened the door to a future move.
Injury aside, Reus will be a dream signing for me, what do you think?
