Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba is linked with Arsenal because he wants to vacate from China to England. He Moved to Shanghai Shenhua for £200,000 a week to join with his old Chelsea teammate Nicolas Anelka.
The situation in Shanghai Shenhua is not good at the movement because Chairman Zhu Jun is supporting team since 2007. He is asking to control the team so they can’t feed Drogba.
Drogba is playing for new team since last three months. He also wants to leave from China and hopes to join England again, but not in Stamford Bridge.
Arsenal has linked with 34-years-old striker and they should replace the place of Robin Van Persie. The Gunners are stronger in defensive department, but they are not that much good with attacking. Drogba has an outstanding record with Chelsea and he scored in all the major games for them.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has denied their Ivorian move.
‘At the moment no. In my opinion he is not free. He has just left England.
‘I don’t know about the situation because he came out with a completely different statement.
‘You hear he might go to Real Madrid – but then he says “I am staying in China”. Is it just because he wants to be paid off? I don’t know.’
Wenger also mentioned that Jack Wilshere’s return.
‘Jack is making quick progress now; he will join in with full training soon.’
Drogba’s move to England will be cleared in summer transfer window. Until that Drogba has the time take his decision about where to go.
