All you Tottenham Hotspur fans can now give a huge sigh of relief safe in the knowledge that your best player has decided to stay a little longer at White Hart Lane.
This morning the Madrid based newspaper MARCA which is in effect a mouthpiece for Real Madrid printed a story that quotes club president Florentino Perez as saying that any moves for Gareth Bale must now be placed on the back burner, after Tottenham chairmen Daniel Levy informed the Spanish giants that the Welsh wizard as he is called in England would be going nowhere this summer.
This may only be a delay in the inevitable though as Madrid will not give up on the man that Zinedine Zidane calls the third best footballer in the world, and with Perez and Levy having such a close relation between them you can be sure that the Spurs winger will be leaving for the Santiago Bernabeu next summer.
At only 23-years-old Bale knows that he has plenty of time to move to Spain and play in La Liga, and seems quite happy to team up with Tottenham’s new striker Brazilian Paulinho next season as the pair try to secure a spot for their team in the Champions League.
MARCA obviously disappointed that anyone would dare to say no to what they consider the biggest club on the planet could not help having a dig by saying that Bale unlike former Spurs Player Luka Modric obviously did not have the ambition to be at a club that would be playing in the Champions League next season.
