Bayern Munich are considering making a move for Olivier Giroud, according to reports.
Since it became apparent that Arsenal would be signing a striker in the last transfer window, Giroud has been heavily linked with a move away from the club.
The speculations heightened when Lacazette finally joined for a club record £52m deal but Giroud eventually snubbed the chance of an exit to stay at the Emirates.
Despite the player insisting he is happy at Arsenal, reports haven’t stopped linking him with a move away.
According to Sport Bild via the Mirror, Bayern could make a move for Giroud in the winter transfer window.
The German champions want to sign a striker to act as back up to Robert Lewandowski and are believed to be considering a move for Giroud.
The French striker is currently playing back up to Alexandre Lacazette at Arsenal and hasn’t started a league game this season.
It is unlikely he will now want to join Bayern where he is unlikely to play more regularly.
If Giroud is going to leave Arsenal, he will only be looking for a club where he can play week in week out as that has been his priority since losing his spot in the first team to Sanchez last season.
I don’t think he is thinking of moving just yet after he recently stated he will stick with Arsenal until the end of the season at least, ruling out the possibility of a January move.
