The Oliver Giroud rumors seem to be going nowhere as the Arsenal striker has this time being linked with a move to Italy, with giants Inter Milan and Juventus understood to be interested.
Following the summer arrival of Alexandre Lacazette, the 30-year-old who decided to remain at the Emirates was then linked with a host of clubs with Everton rumoured to be chief amongst them.
It’s the Serie A duo that are now understood to be monitoring the striker’s situation at the Emirates with the plan of swooping for him next summer.
Juventus apparently want more attacking options despite Mario Mandžukić signing a new contract, which takes him up until 2020 with the Serie A club while Inter want another striker as Mauro Icardi is the only one they have got at the moment.
According to Calciomercato via Daily Cannon, Juventus and Inter could move for Giroud next year if Everton fail in their attempts to sign him.
The French international who has been a victim of the Gunners strength in depth in attack may be very well tempted by a move away from the Emirates as he is yet to start a Premier League game thus far this season.
Though Giroud continues to divide opinion amongst Gooners about his ability to lead the line, there is however no argument over his finishing ability as the striker recently scored his 100th Gunners goal during the Europa League win over BATE Borisov last month.
The French forward has recently fallen behind teammate Lacazette in the pecking order for the French squad, should he miss out on the French squad heading to Russia for the World Cup next summer, he may very well decide to quit the Gunners next year.
The striker who has developed the habit of impacting games from the substitutes bench will surely be missed if he moves on next year.
