Arsenal are understood to be in a three way battle to sign Real Betis midfielder Fabian Ruiz.

The youngster who has broken into the senior squad at Betis continues to impress with matured performances beyond his age which has not unnoticed by the top European clubs.

With the likely departures of Mesut Ozil, Santi Carzola and Jack Wilshere at the end of the current campaign, Wenger who is understood to be keen on reinvigorating his midfield next year has targeted the youngster as part of his plans.

According to Spanish outlet Don Balon via Daily Cannon, Arsenal want to sign Real Betis’ Ruiz but face competition from Real Madrid and United. The report also credits Manchester City with an interest in the player.

Ruiz who has been in sparkling form in his four La Liga appearances for the Spanish club this season, scoring once and assisting twice is understood to have a buy-out clause of just  £13.4m.

The 21-year-old has come through the ranks at the Spanish club after joining their youth set-up in 2004 at the age of just eight. Ruiz who is now very highly rated in Spain has the required tools to develop into one a top class midfielder and has unsurprisingly been backed to go on to achieve big things in his career.

Whilst Gooners would expectedly be pessimistic about our chances of coming out tops in a battle with several European giants to sign up the player, it’s always an entirely different ball game for Wenger when players are young and extremely gifted. The gaffer still maintains an excellent track record of developing young players.

The Kareem Benzema rumors seem to be going nowhere as Arsenal have yet again been linked with a move for the Real Madrid striker.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a known admirer of the French international having closely monitored the player’s career right from his teenage days in Olympic Lyon.

Wenger’s quest to land to a World Class forward over the years saw Benzema annually linked with a move to the Emirates, but the French striker was never up for sale by Los Blancos.

The gaffer eventually signed Alexander Lacazette in a £50million switch from Lyon last summer but Benzema links with Arsenal continued, the French international then signed a contract extension with Madrid last month which was expected to end his links with a move away.

Recent reports emanating from Spain have however now disclosed that Wenger retains an interest in Benzema as he sees him as a capable replacement for Alexis Sanchez who is set to depart the Emirates in one of the next two windows.

It is Don Balon via Daily Cannon that has claimed Karim Benzema didn’t sign a new long-term contract with Real Madrid because he wants to stay there, but just so Los Blancos can get more money for him. The report further states Arsenal want him to cover the departure of Alexis Sanchez.

Whilst there is no denying Wenger’s admiration for his compatriot, it is surprising as to see why the gaffer would target him as Sanchez’s replacement.

Both forwards are no doubt World Class players but they however like to play different positions on the pitch.

Arsenal are understood to be monitoring the situation of Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan with a possibility of swooping for him in the winter transfer window.

With the Turkish international struggling for game time having fallen out of favour with Ernesto Valverde at the Camp Nou, Wenger seems to have retained his interest in the player whom was a reported target for the gaffer last summer.

The 30-year-old was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates last summer window but new Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde wanted to keep hold of all the players he met at the club to properly asses his options ahead of his first season in charge of the Spanish giants.

Turan however seems to have failed to impress the new boss as he is is yet to make an appearance for the club this season.

With the player understandably frustrated, he is reportedly set to quit the Catalan club in January and Arsenal are said to be on alert.

According to IBTimes via Daily Cannon, Turan has finally come to terms with the fact that his future does not lie with the La Liga giants and he is allegedly looking for a move in January to a team where he can get regular football.

The report further states that the former Atletico Madrid man will sit down with his agent soon to discuss his options.

Turan has also openly admitted that his lack of playing time at Barcelona is not ideal.

“It has been a while since I played and it is not easy,”he said. “It means games become as much a mental question as a physical one.

“I want to do what the coach asks of me and form a part of a historic day like this one.”

The midfielder finally got some game time during the international break featuring for an hour against Iceland during Turkey’s 2018 World Cup qualifier, which his country lost 3-0.

Thibaut Courtois wants to join Real Madrid so as to move closer to his family.

The Belgium international is believed to be on Madrid’s radar as Fiorentino Perez steps up his effort to sell Keylor Navas.

It was claimed earlier in the week that Courtois is snubbing a new contract at Chelsea in order to push for a move to Madrid.

And Diario Gol has published a recent development, claiming the goalkeeper is already putting in place underground works ahead of a summer move.

They claim Courtois is already looking for luxury properties in the La Finca district of Madrid.

Courtois kids are with his former girlfriend in Madrid and he is reportedly keen on moving closer to them.

Real Madrid chief Fiorentino Perez believes Courtois would be keen on a move to the Bernabeu and is in regular contact with the player’s intermediaries.

A fee of €60m has been mooted but Tribal Football says Madrid won’t pay up to that amount.

If Madrid isn’t willing to spend big on Courtois, I don’t see Chelsea selling him.

The Blues have no interest whatsoever to lose the goalkeeper, meaning it would take an outrageous offer to tempt them into selling.

Courtois joined Chelsea in 2011 and spent three years at Atletico before he returned to Chelsea. He has since established himself as one of the Premier League’s best goalkeepers, helping Chelsea to two Premier League titles.

Real Madrid are considering making a move for Thibaut Courtois, according to reports in Spain.

This is the second Chelsea player Madrid are being linked with in the last two weeks. First it was Eden Hazard and now Courtois.

According to Diario Gol via the Daily Star, Courtois is desperate to leave Chelsea for Madrid.

The report claims the Belgium goalkeeper isn’t sure of Chelsea’s pedigree to challenge for the Champions League title.

The report claims Madrid president Fiorentino Perez has stepped up efforts to sell Keylos Navas in recent weeks as he prepares for Courtois’ arrival.

The Spanish club are prepared to offer Chelsea €60m for Courtois who has established himself as one of the Premier League’s best goalkeepers.

Diario Gol claim Courtois is happy at London but wouldn’t mind returning to Madrid where he spent two years with Atletico Madrid.

Whether Real Madrid are interested in Courtois or not, the fact that it is emanating from this particular media outlet in Spain gives us hope as Chelsea fans.

Diario Gol carried a lot of rumors in the the summer transfer window but majority of them failed to materialize. They were the ones who started the Hazard to Madrid rumors in the summer and we all know how that ended up.

On Madrid’s interest, I think the Spanish club may actually hold a concrete interest in the Belgian but that would depend on Chelsea’s willingness to let the towering goalie leave.

Star Man Refuse To Sign New Contract As He Pushes For Real Madrid Move

Thibaut Courtois is refusing to sign a new deal at Chelsea, so he can join Real Madrid at the end of the season.

The Belgium international’s contract expires in the summer of 2019 and Chelsea are looking to tie him down to a longer contract.

Spanish newspaper Marca via the Express are claiming Courtois isn’t ready to sign a new contract at Chelsea.

They claim the goalkeeper wants to move back to Madrid where he spent three years with Atletico.

Courtois has established himself as one of Premier League’s best goalkeepers since returning to Chelsea and Abramovich is willing to do everything possible to keep him. However, there is a growing feeling amongst people at Stamford Bridge that Courtois wants to leave.

Real have long be looking to replace Keylor Navas and wanted Manchester United’s David De Gea as a replacement but United’s reluctance to sell means they have to turn to Courtois.

In the summer, Courtois agent revealed he is in regular contact with Real over the goalkeeper and it could well be a case of the Spanish giants tapping up the 25 year old via his representative.

Whether Chelsea will be able to fight hard to keep Courtois remains to be seen. Personally, I am indifferent about this, while the Belgian is a top goalkeeper, I think there are some realistic targets like Jan Oblak and Jack Butland that can comfortably replace him.

Arsenal and AC Milan are both interested in signing Barcelona playmaker Rafinha, according to reports in Spain.

Rafinha is expected to leave the Camp Nou in the winter transfer window after failing to force his way into Barca’s starting line up.

The midfielder ia yet to make an appearance this season and it appears Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde doesn’t see him as part of his plans

Barcelona are reportedly willing to let him leave this season and Arsenal are one of the clubs believed to be interested in the playmaker

Spanish newspaper Super Deporte via the Daily Cannon says Wenger is looking to replace Ozil with Rafinha.

This is not the first time the midfielder is being linked with Arsenal and Gooners can recall that the Spanish media have continuously done this over the years.

However Rafinha’s agent recently claimed his client is happy at Barcelona . You don’t need anyone to tell you the Spanish media are trying to help Barcelona sell the out of favor midfielder with these claims.

Rafinha, although a talented player can’t be considered as a replacement for Ozil who is such an important player to us.

The Brazilian featured 29 times for Barcelona in the last two years because of injuries and no right thinking club would want to sign such player to replace a key player like Ozil.

Belgium journalist Kristof Terreur believes Eden Hazard would have joined Real Madrid in the summer had it not been the ankle injury he sustained in June.

Hazard has long been linked with a move to Real, with Fiorentino Perez reportedly willing to make him the next galactico signing.

And Terreur believes the move could have happened in the summer had Hazard not sustained an ankle injury while training for Belgium at the end of the season.

“As long as Zidane is the manager it will always pop up,” Terreur said, as reported by the Daily Star.

“But I think Chelsea are trying to convince him to sign a new contract.

“I think if he hadn’t injured himself at the end of last season during the international period with Belgium, it might have happened already.

“That has slowed down everything, as has the rise of (Marco) Asensio.”

Terreur then contradicted himself by saying Hazard is happy at Chelsea and isn’t looking to leave the club just yet.

“He’s very happy in London, in Cobham,” he added. “He doesn’t like the limelight.

“His kids speak better English than him so that’s important to him, to his family life. That will play an important role too if he ever moves to Real Madrid.”

How Hazard could have joined Madrid already when he is still happy at Cobham is beyond me.

The truth is there’s nothing we can do about these Madrid-Hazard links, it will always pop up but I don’t think Chelsea will allow the Belgian leave Stamford Bridge.
