Arsenal sits in a group where the first place is practically reserved for them. For their opening match of the group stage, they are hosting Koln at Emirates Stadium.

After 17 years, Arsenal failed to enter the most prestigious competition. They took the step down and are now starting the Europe League campaign in the group stage where they are the favourites for finishing as the first-ranked.

They got off to a rather bad start of their domestic campaign. They lost two of the four matches in the Premier League, where they are the eleventh-ranked at the moment. In the two matches they won, they played at home. Most recently, they won with clean sheets against AFC Bournemouth.

Their team has recently been left without Oxlade-Chamberlain who was transferred to Liverpool for € 38M.

Koln are starting UEFA Europe League in the group stage.

They are coming from a 3 – 0 loss away in the Bundesliga. They started their domestic campaign pretty bad. After three weeks they have three losses, and only one goal scored. Currently, they are the bottom-ranked team in Germany.

Real Madrid vs Osasuna preview

Real Madrid vs Osasuna preview :

Round 16 of Copa Del Rey cup commences this week as Spanish Giants welcome Javi Gracia’s Osasuna at Santiago Bernabéu on Thursday evening.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side is in tremendous form with 14 unbeaten games in all competition. Real Madrid is more likely to with start Iker Casillas in goal where Alvaro Morata could start up front, while Karim Benzema is expected to be rested. Gareth Bale, who came on as a substitute in Monday’s 3-0 win over Celta Vigo, may start on the right side of attack. As going with facts Real Madrid has won their last 7 home matches against Osasuna in all competitions while they are undefeated in their last 8 matches in the Copa Del Rey.

Javi Gracia’s Osasuna is likely to go with the same approach they displayed back in 2013 when both the teams last met, by defending tight and looking to hit on the counter-attack. Garcia could bring in Raoul Loe into central midfield to give a rest to Lolo. Sisi is sidelined through injury, while Emiliano Armenteros and Manuel Omwu are doubts for Osasuna.

Match Predictions by pundits are no doubt in Real Madrid’s favor with 3-1 win over Osasuna.

Real Madrid is probably forming with 4-2-3-1 by Iker Casillas, Marcelo, Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Arbeloa, Xabi Alonso, Luka Modric, Cristiano Ronaldo, Isco, Gareth Bale, Alvaro Morata

Whereas Osasuna also goes with 4-2-3-1

Barcelona v Real Madrid: Match Preview

Barcelona, Real Madrid

Barcelona, Real Madrid

All of Spain is getting ready for this season’s first Classico as third place Real Madrid travel’s to the Nou Camp on Saturday to take on league leaders Barcelona.

Barcelona are unbeaten in La Liga this season  having only dropped two points drawing against Atletico Madrid, and last weekend against  Osasuna in Pamplona.

Midweek the Blaugrana faced AC Milan in the San Siro for the first leg of their Champions’ League group match coming away from Italy with a 1-1 draw.

At home the Catalans have yet to drop any points winning all four games while finding the back of the net an amazing 18 times, while only conceding an average of one goal per game that does not bode well for the visitors.

Messi is of course at the heart of the team while Alex Sanchez and Pedro have all contributed to the wins.

As for the Brazilian wonder kid Neymar he has yet to make a significant impact on the team, but will be eager to shine during his first ever Classico.

Real Madrid have the opportunity to go level with Barcelona should they win, and history is certainly on the side of los Blancos beating Barcelona three  times and drawing twice in their last five meetings.

Real Madrid beat Malaga 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabéu at the weekend, and downed Juventus Wednesday night 2-1 thanks to a brace from Cristiano Ronaldo in what proved to be a very hard fought match.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti had the team out today at the Real Madrid City, but left the players who took part in last night’s match to train indoors.

Madrid’s new signing Gareth Bale will also be playing like Neymar in his first ever Classico so it will be interesting to access which club made the better purchase.

One thing is for sure we will not be witnessing a goalless game, and while Barcelona have only produced one goal in their last two games they still remain  unbeaten at the Nou Camp in 19 consecutive games with Real Madrid being the last team to win there back in October of 2012.

Classico’s are such tough matches to predict as the players themselves know that everyone in the country will be rooting for one side or another which makes me think that a draw is the most likely outcome, and if I was to have a bet it would be for the inform Cristiano Ronaldo to score at any time with odds of even money currently available.
