Chelsea have joined Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool in the race to sign Napoli defender Faouzi Ghoulam, according to reports.

The Algerian defender has established himself as one of Serie A’s best full back since joining Napoli in 2014 and is now attracting interest from a host of Premier League clubs.

Napoli have done well to fight off competition for the defender for quite sometime but their inability to agree a new deal with him could weaken their stand.

Ghoulam contract expires at the end of the season and is yet to agree a new deal with his club.

According to Tribal Football, Chelsea could take advantage of the situation and have expressed an interest in signing the defender in January.

Liverpool and Manchester City are believed to be interested in the defender and could make their moves in the new year also.

Should Ghoulam continue to stall on a new contract, Napoli could consider cashing in on him in the new year rather than allow him leave for free.

Chelsea spent the whole summer chasing Alex Sandro but Juventus reluctance to sell the Italian meant we had to go into the season without a credible back up and competitor for Marcos Alonso.

With the extra burden of playing in the Champions League taking its toll on the squad, Chelsea may have to settle for Ghoulam in the new year, if Sandro continues to prove difficult to sign.

Follow Footballbible on Facebook and Twitter to get up to date football related news from the English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and other leagues around the World. News From Chelsea, Everton, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool.

Jose Mourinho is desperate to sign Alexis Sanchez but is wary of City’s interest.

Sanchez contract’s expires at the end of the season and apparently doesn’t want to sign a new deal with the club.

Paris Saint Germain, Inter Milan and Manchester City have been linked with the forward in recent weeks and Manchester United have now joined them.

City are the club with the most interest in Sanchez, having tried to sign him in the summer and Man Utd believe their rivals remain favorites to sign the winger.

Mourinho closesly monitored Sanchez’s situation in the summer and has continued to do that but the Independent via the Express claim the Portuguese tactician thinks he is more likely to end up at City.

The Chilean’s situation at Arsenal have made fans nervous and it will be nice to see this resolved as soon as possible. However, where he ends up will be a cause of concern for fans.

Gooners wouldn’t want Sanchez to join any of the Manchester clubs and would prefer him to move abroad to avoid playing against him in the future.

Chelsea Join Man City and Man Utd In Race For January Exit Bound Sanchez

Chelsea could make a move for Alexis Sanchez when the transfer window reopens in January.

The Blues are big admirers of the forward  and were one of the clubs that were first linked with the Chilean in the summer but had to turn attention elsewhere when other clubs joined the race.

Sanchez is in the final year of his contract and is expected to leave the Emirates next summer, having failed to reach an agreement over a new deal.

And Chelsea are believed to be keeping tabs on his situation and will be there to make a move if the opportunity presents itself.

The Blues are not the only ones watching the winger with keen interest as Paris Saint Germain, Manchester United, Inter Milan and Manchester City are all interested.

According to The Mirror via the Daily Star, Chelsea could make a move for Sanchez after its thing squad depth was laid bare by Morata’s injury.

The Spaniard is out with an hamstring injury and there are reports he could miss the next six to eight weeks. Conte now has only Michy Batshuayi as the only centre forward in the squad and signing a new striker could now be a necessity.

Sanchez would be a great option, considering he can play anywhere across the front three but it’s not going to be an easy deal to pull off because of the salary he would command and the number of big clubs interested in signing him.

Any bid from Chelsea in January is likely to spark a bidding war which could play into the player’s hands, giving him the opportunity to ask for a huge pay cheque.

Midfield Star Insists Club Where Not Wrong For Selling This Star Man

Frank Lampard has backed Chelsea’s decision to sell Kevin De Bruyne in 2014.

Since leaving Chelsea for Wolfsburg, De Bruyne

has developed into one of Europe’s finest midfielders and has even become a better player since moving to Man City in 2015.

He’s currently playing a key role in Pep Guardiola’s team and grabbed the winning goal in Saturday’s game against Chelsea.

Chelsea fans have since revealed their annoyance at the club letting De Bruyne slip off their hands but Lampard has backed the club’s decision to let the midfielder leave.

Speaking after Chelsea’s loss to City on Saturday, Lampard said, as reported by 101 Great Goals:

‘It was a difficult time for the club, you had (Eden) Hazard, Oscar, and Willian had just signed. He wasn’t as good as he is now.’

‘Of course it’s easy to look and say “why did you let him go?”, but he’s gone away and made himself a world class player.’

‘You always wonder about development. He had good pace, good passing, good dribbling, but at that point he couldn’t get into our team.’

‘One thing he had was ambition, he wanted to go away and prove he was a player.’

It is true that De Bruyne wasn’t as good as he is now but one obvious thing was that he had the potential to be even better than some of those players Lampard mentioned.

He deserved more game time, if only he was afforded more minutes at the time, he would have been patient with the club.

Boss Planning Shock January Bid For Star Winger Coman

Follow Footballbible on Facebook and Twitter to get up to date football related news from the English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and other leagues around the World. News From Chelsea, Everton, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool.

Chelsea are planning a bid for Steaua Bucharest winger Florinel Coman, according to reports.

Technical director Micheal Emenalo was reportedly in Romania last week to watch the youngster in action.

Coman a winger by trade is one of Europe’s most talented teenager and has been praised not only for his talents but also his versatility.

The 19 year old is comfortable playing anywhere across the front three and has featured five times for Romania U21.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are keeping tabs on the forward and have sent top officials to watch him in action.

Chelsea would have to spend big if they want to sign Coman as Bucharest owner Gigi Becali has inserted an £88m release clause in the youngster’s contract.

Becali says he rates the winger as high as Kylian Mbappe who moved to PSG for a deal worth more than £150m.

Chelsea are yet to firm up their interest but it is expected that we’ll look to negotiate a lower fee for the forward if we decide to make a move for him.

Spending £88m on a player who isn’t tested in any of Europe’s big leagues won’t make sense and no club official in his right thinking sense would pay that much.

“He Needs Help!” – Star Defender Fires Warning To Boss!

Former Chelsea defender Wayne Bridge believes the club must sign a back up striker to assist Alvaro Morata in January.

Morata has hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge, scoring seven goals in nine games.

However, Bridge thinks the striker will need some help if he is going to guide Chelsea to titles this season.

“I really like him but I expect them to probably sign another centre-forward in January,” he told The Sun.

“Not to replace Morata but someone either to work with him or they can change.

“Someone physically a bit stronger and who wants to bully defenders.” Bridge added: “Morata has obvious quality – he’s quick, he’s running in behind and scoring goals with his head and his feet.

“He’s a totally different player in terms of what Chelsea are used to, with the likes of Didier Drogba and Costa who are big and strong and bullied defenders.

“With the likes of Fabregas who can slip him in, with the runs that he makes he’s going to get chances.”

Bridge words can’t be any truer, Morata limped out of Chelsea’s game against City on Saturday, exposing the need for a quality back up striker.

Michy Batshuayi hasn’t proven to be good enough and it seems Conte doesn’t trust him enough to replace the Spaniard.

A striker in January could become a necessity if we want to challenge with the Manchester clubs.

Good News For Gunners As Star Man Confirm He Wants To Stay At Arsenal

Jack Wilshere has revealed he wants to continue at Arsenal and is waiting for a new contract from the club.

The midfielder is currently being linked with a move away from the Emirates, with reports claiming he won’t be offered a new one.

But Wilshere has revealed he wants to stay at Arsenal. Speaking to the Guardian [via the Daily Cannon], the midfielder said:

“Do I see myself staying? Of course I do.

“I have always been at Arsenal, I love this club.

“They have been good to me over the years, I have a great relationship with the boss. He has played me since I was 17. He has put his trust in me since then. We have a great understanding and of course I want to stay.”

Wilshere has been struggling with injuries for the past few years and Arsenal apparently wants him to prove his fitness before offering him a new deal.

The midfielder just recovered from a broken leg injury sustained while playing for Bournemouth last season but surprisingly looked sharp against Borisov on Thursday.

He reminded us all about his quality and was one of our best players on the pitch on Thursday night. All he just needs to do is to stay fit for the entire season, I am sure Arsenal will look to offer him a new deal.

Arsenal In Hot Transfer Battle With Chelsea and Man Utd For Serie A Sensation

Chelsea and Manchester United are set to go head to head for the signature of Genoa youngster Pietro Pellegri, according to reports.

The 17 year old striker broke into Genoa’s first team last season and has continued his fine form this season.

According to reports a host of clubs have been impressed with Pellegri’s performance since he came onto the scene.

And AC Milan, Juventus as well as Arsenal are some of the clubs also keen on the teenager.

Genoa have now placed a £40m price tag on Pellegri due to the number of clubs circling around him

Chelsea are believed to be watching the teenager with keen interest but could be put off by the news that Genoa president Enrico Preziozi will only consider a sale if his valuation is met.

According to the Sun, Conte is a big fan of the midfielder and would love to bring him to Stamford Bridge. The Blues appear light in the centre forward position and signing a new striker could appeal to the boss.

However, I don’t think the 16 year old will be a solution for the present, he’ll be definitely be one for the future.

The Blues have more than three dozens of players on loan. The club signs players in their teens and then send them out on loan to continue their development and then return to the club later in the future.

Arsenal Star Makes Huge Statement Insists Wenger Doesn’t Trust Ozil Anymore

Follow Footballbible on Facebook and Twitter to get up to date football related news from the English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and other leagues around the World. News From Chelsea, Everton, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool.

Martin Keown says Arsene Wenger doesn’t trust Mesut Ozil anymore.

This does sound bizzare and it would even sound more ridiculous when you find out the reason for Keown’s claim.

According to the former Gunner, Wenger left Ozil out of the starting xi against West Brom last Monday because he doesn’t trust him anymore.

The boss mentioned before and after the game that Ozil wasn’t fit enough to start the game but Keown saw the German starting on the bench in a different way.

“Ozil is the one I wouldn’t trust as much mentally, and I believe he’s not playing tonight because the gaffer really can’t trust him any more,” Keown told BBC Radio 5 Live via Daily Cannon.

“I think it’s a huge story that Ozil doesn’t play tonight.

“If you look at their pre-seasons, Ozil wasn’t in the German squad in the summer, he came back on the very first day of pre-season, and didn’t then start the season, there was a bit of suspicion around him.

“Last year he went missing for a couple of months and I think that’s his tactic in terms of getting away from the football club.

“I don’t know, but I have a feeling that he’s going to take his reliability away from selection.”

Keown’s claim is strange especially as everyone knew Ozil missed the Chelsea game due to a knee injury.

He only just recovered from injury before the game against West Brom and still came off the bench in that game.

Prior to that, the German started all of Arsenal’s first three games of the season, none of these points at Wenger not trusting him.

Boss Still Highly Confident Of Signing Barcelona Star Sergi Roberto In January

Follow Footballbible on Facebook and Twitter to get up to date football related news from the English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and other leagues around the World. News From Chelsea, Everton, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool.

Chelsea are reportedly still keeping tabs on Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto.

The Blues were believed to be keen on Roberto in the summer but Barcelona weren’t interested in selling the 25 year old.

The player was willing to quit the Camp Nou in the summer but Barca’s reluctance to sell meant he had no choice but to stay.

Catalan Based newspaper Mundo Deportivo via the theshedender.com are now reporting Chelsea are still keeping an eye on Roberto as Barca are yet to offer him a new contract.

The Catalans will look to tie the midfielder down to a new contract but there is no urgency from them to do that at the moment.

Roberto’s contract expires in 2019 and despite his €40m release clause, Barca believe they have enough time to offer the defender a new deal.

Chelsea’s interest is likely to have died down after we signed Zappacosta because we now have enough options at right wing back.

The center midfield is another position where Roberto is comfortable but the presence of Tiemoue Bakayoko, Cesc Fabregas, N’Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater means we are not in a dire need for another midfielder.

I think Roberto will end up signing a new contract at Barca unless he’ll be joining another club that isn’t Chelsea. The Blues have no need for the midfielder at the moment.
