Man United and Chelsea received a huge boost as Alex Sandro could be allowed to leave after Juventus identified Bayer Leverkusen’s Wendell Borges as a replacement for him, according to the Mirror.
Man United and Chelsea have been after the Brazilian wing back, with Chelsea seeing their attempts at signing him knocked back during the summer.
However, Alex Sandro is believed to be interested in a move to the Premier League and the Mirror reports that Juventus told him that he would have to wait until the summer to complete his dream move.
But now they have started tracking fellow Brazilian Wendell in view of making a move for him in this January transfer window.
This move could effectively soften their stance on Sandro and it could see them allowing him move this January, though any club coming would have to match their £53 million valuation.
Chelsea have started tracking Porto’s Alex Telles as a cheaper alternative, this might leave Man United as sole contenders for his signature.
Man United are in need of a left back with Mourinho using Ashley Young in that position for most of the season after losing faith in Luke Shaw. Mourinho is said to be a big fan of Alex Sandro, with Tottenham’s Danny Rose also a target.
