Football Transfer News: Chelsea back in the hunt for Schurrle
English Premier League club Chelsea are preparing a fresh offer for the Bayer Leverkusen forward Andre Schurrle as per club reports. Reports reveals that the Blues will be offering around £10 million and winger Kevin de Bruyne into the mix to get the deal done this time around at the end of the season.
Chelsea has shown their interest in signing the services of the Germany international for quite some time now, but have failed in three previous occasions earlier this summer.
Chelsea’s technical director Michael Emenalo has recommended the club to sign Schurrle, despite the Blues do not have a permanent manager in place for next season.
Reports so far claims that Emenalo will be offering around £10million for the 22-year-old. He will also be offering Belgian sensation De Bruyne as part of the package.
Belgian player De Bruyne joined Chelsea from Genk in January 2011 transfer window but is yet to play a game for them. De Bruyne spent this season on-loan in Germany with Werder Bremen, where his performance impressed top clubs around the world.
The winger admitted this week that he is not too sure about his future at Stamford Bridge, and is thought that the Blues will be using him to bag the services of Schurrle.
It would be interesting to see if the German side will be interested in the latest proposal, as they have previously valued Schurrle at around £25million, and are holding out for no less than £25 million.
The 22-year-old, who has scored 6 goals and produced 5 assists in 26 league fixtures this season, has a contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2016.
