Napoli are in talks to sign Chelsea defender Davide Zappacosta in a deal, according to Sky in Italy.
The defender’s agent Alessandro Lucci has met with representatives from the Serie A club at their headquarters in Italy.
SI Sports News understands Napoli are keen to agree a deal for the 26-year-old, who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Torino on Deadline Day last summer.
Reports in Italy suggest Chelsea are looking to sell Zappacosta who has a contract at the club until 2021 – for £20m, more than £5m less than they paid for him 12 months ago.
It is also thought that Chelsea could send the full-back out on loan with an option for Napoli to buy him at the end of the season.
Zappacosta made 22 Premier League appearances for Chelsea last season, scoring one goal.
Maurizio Sarri was replaced as Napoli boss by Carlo Ancelotti in May but the Italian club kept him on the payroll, forcing Chelsea to negotiate a compensation fee.
A deal for Sarri is understood to have now been agreed, with his arrival at Chelsea expected to be announced imminently following the sacking of Antonio Conte yesterday.
Chelsea are close to completing a deal for Sarri’s chief lieutenant on the pitch at Napoli, Italy international Jorginho, in a £50m transfer.
