Chelsea defender David Luiz is keen on seeing Laurent Blanc replace Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge next season.
Conte is expected to leave the club at the end of the season after a disappointing second campaign in west London that is likely to end without Champions League football.
The Blues have considered the likes of Luis Enrique and Maurizio Sarri as potential replacements but former PSG boss Blanc is trying to ‘force’ his way into contention, according to the Telegraph.
The former Manchester United defender worked with Luiz at the Ligue 1 giants and the Brazilian is believed to be advocating the Frenchman taking over from Conte.
Conte has the perfect chance to end his Chelsea career with silverware when the Blues take on Manchester United in the FA Cup final in May.
However, a win is unlikely to save him and Roman Abramovich has already consulted with club chiefs to look at replacements.
Blanc guided Bordeaux to the Ligue 1 title in 2009 and PSG hired him in 2013 after he finished with the French national team.
The 52-year-old won three back-to-back league titles in Paris but his failure to get the club past the last 16 of the Champions League got him sacked in 2016.
