The chase for Monaco ace seems to be getting ever hotter with reports stating that Manchester United have now entered the race to sign him.
The playmaker who can play on both wings as well as in the central attacking midfield position has been the subject of intense interest, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Liverpool all registering interests in the Frenchman.
A deal in January however looks unlikely after Monaco’s vice president Vadim Vasilyev revealed that his key players won’t be departing the club next month.
“The sales of important players is not on the agenda. We have never spoken (to Lemar or his entourage) about the possibility of a January departure” he said.
Arsenal came close to signing him on deadline day in the summer, and Liverpool had two bids knocked back during the summer, any deal taking him away from Monaco will have to be worth upwards of £88 million, before Monaco even begins talk.
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is in need of a wide attacker and he faces stiff competition for the signature of this one, it’ll be interesting to see if he overcome the competition
