Arsenal will consider selling one of Ozil or Sanchez in the January transfer window, according to reports.
Both players are into the final years of their contracts and have so far refused to sign new deals.
As a result of their contract situation, they’ve both been linked with a January move away from the Emirates but the Daily Star via the Mirror have revealed that Arsenal will only sell one of them in January.
According to the report, Arsenal don’t want to lose two of their best players in the middle of the season and will therefore consider selling just one of them.
The report also added that Arsenal will demand around £30m from clubs interested in any of the duo.
Manchester City remain interested in Alexis Sanchez while there have been talks of Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid keeping tabs on the Chilean.
As for Ozil, he is reportedly attracting interest from Manchester United an Barcelona.
Wenger recently stated that a decision will be made on the pair’s future in December and that should give us enough time to decide who to sell, if we are going to sell any.
Losing your best players is never a good thing but the decision has almost been taken away from Arsenal’s hands. The players could decide not to sign new deals and then leave for free at the end of the season which will be disastrous for the club financially.
Therefore, I am in support of one of them leaving in the winter, unless they sign new deals. Ozil appears the more dispensable of the two players and may just be the one to leave.
