Antonio Conte is considering leaving Chelsea at the end of the season, according to reports.
There were talks of Conte being unhappy with the club’s transfer dealings in the summer, after Chelsea missed out on majority of his top targets.
He also reportedly had dispute with the club over promoting youth players and there were reports he was considering an offer from Inter Milan.
However, he stayed but the Mirror are saying he could still leave at the end of the current campaign.
The report claims the manager has fallen out with Chelsea chiefs and now wants to return to Italy.
Reports of Conte’s unhappiness at Chelsea have gathered momentum in recent weeks, with the Times publishing a story some weeks ago of how Conte only stuck with the club in the summer because of a clause in his contract.
In my opinion, it is looking like Conte will not be staying long at Chelsea, especially after the club failed to provide him with the players he wanted in the summer.
The manager spoke several times of the club’s need to strengthen in the summer and looking at the squad at his disposal, one can hardly say there is an improvement compared to last season’s team.
Conte left Juventus in 2014 because of disagreement over transfers and it is very possible he leaves Chelsea for the same reason. Many fans were unhappy with the club missing out on several of its top targets, so it is understandable if the manager is also.
We may not find a manager as good as he is if he leaves us anytime soon and that will be bad for the club.
