Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham target Malcom has revealed that he wanted a dream move to the Premier League in January, according to the Daily Mail.
The Brazilian winger has admitted that he would have loved a move to the Premier league after Arsenal and Tottenham came calling last month.
The two clubs were put off by Bordeaux’s £45 million valuation and the fact that they didn’t want him to leave until the summer.
Arsene Wenger wanted him as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez, but felt his talent was too raw for such valuation and instead went on to sign a move proven star, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for £56 million.
Maurico Pochettino on his part opted for a cheaper £25 million deal for Paris Saint Germain’s Lucas Moura on deadline day.
Malcom however is still open to a summer move according to the Independent, even as he pledged his commitment to the Bordeaux cause until the end of the season.
“It’s my dream to progress in my career,‘ the 20-year-old told French news outlet Telefoot. ‘I spoke to the president, he told me that he knew it was my dream, but that he needed me.
‘I told him he could count on me until the end of the season, I will do everything to help Bordeaux finish in the top six in Ligue 1.”
Malcom has scored eight times this season, one more than his seven goals last season, and he will be looking to join a Champions league club at the end of the season.
