Arsenal are set to battle with at least two other clubs to sign Paris Saint Germain’s Adrien Rabiot, according to reports.
Rabiot is a long time target of Arsenal, with club scouts keeping tabs on his development since he was 16.
He has now developed into a top player at PSG and a good number of top clubs have joined Arsenal in admiring him.
Recently, reports claimed Arsenal are keeping close tabs on Rabiot as his contract at PSG gradually winds down.
The midfielder has just two years left in his contract at PSG and is yet to agree a new deal.
And according to a report in the Daily Cannon, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have been boosted by the midfielder’s contract situation.
Rumors in France are doing the rounds that the midfielder doesn’t want to continue playing as an holding midfielder and could seek a move to a club where he would be offered to chance to play in a more advanced “box-to-box” position.
This will also give suitors a huge boost, which could see all three clubs battle for his signature if he doesn’t sign a new deal before the summer.
Rabiot was part of the PSG team that defeated Anderlecht 4-0 on Wednesday night and has featured regularly for them this season.
