Manchester United are leading the race to sign Celtic duo Moussa Dembele and Kieran Tierney.
Dembele was heavily linked with Arsenal last season and it wasn’t surprising after his superb debut season at Celtic.
Indeed, Arsenal have been monitoring the French striker since his teenage days at Fulham but links only intensified after his move to Scotland.
However, Wenger opted not to make a move for him in the last summer transfer window.
His success at Celtic Park has now led other top clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea to join the race to sign him.
Tierney is regarded as one of Britain’s most talented left back. He’s also been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates in recent years, with Arsenal having watched him on several occasions in last few years.
However, the Daily Mirror via Teamtalk are claiming Man Utd are leading the race to sign both players.
Just like Arsenal, Utd hold a long-term interest in both players and have now upped the ante in the race to sign them.
The reports claim both would cost around £50m combined, which isn’t an expensive fee considering their huge potentials.
However, one wouldn’t blame Arsenal for dropping their interest in both players. Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette joined from Schalke 04 and Olympique Lyon respectively in the summer and they have got both positions covered.
We’d be better off identifying other positions in the team that needs reinforcements rather than continuing our chase of the Celtic duo.
