Antonio Conte refused to be drawn on speculation linking Chelsea with a summer move for Anthony Martial.
The France international has struggled to cement a regular place in Jose Mourinho’s side since the turn of the year, with the arrival of Alexis Sanchez hindering his first team opportunities.
Martial hasn’t scored a Premier League goal since his match-winning effort against Burnley on January 20 and has been linked with a host of top European clubs including the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Juventus.
‘I think this is not the right moment to speak about this, said Conte ahead of Sunday’s must-win Premier League clash against Liverpool.
‘I don’t like to talk about players of other teams this is disrespectful for the players other players and the other club. Our focus is to finish in the best possible way.’
Conte’s own future remains the subject of intense speculation with reports this week claiming he is ready to take a sabbatical if Chelsea choose to sack him at the end of the season.
The former Italy manager added: ‘My opinion is you are asking since the first game this season after the Burnley defeat you are continuing to ask me about my opinion.
‘I think it is very strange in every press conference to have the same question.
‘My answer is always the same. I have a contract with Chelsea. I am doing my job and my work every day and this is my answer.’
