Borussia Dortmund are keen to sign Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, and are keeping up negotiations over the possibility of a transfer for the Frenchman, according to Daily Mail.

Arsenal are also keen on landing the Bundesliga side’s striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with their delegates currently in Germany trying to trash out a deal.

However even with Dortmund’s interest in the Gunners striker, both clubs are looking to keep the deals for each striker separate at this stage of negotiations.

Giroud has seen his game time reduce since his compatriot Alexandre Lacazette club record arrival in the summer, and is keen to gain more regular first team football ahead of the World Cup later this year.

The 31-year-old who was tracked by both Dortmund and Everton last summer has made just one league start this season, with Lacazette preferred over him.

Giroud joined Arsenal from Montpellier in 2012 and has scored 105 goals in his six years at the club, he will now have to step out from Lacazette’s shadow if he is to continue keeping him out of the starting spot in the national team.

  1. No Olyy G should stay,we are more successful with him as a Ariel target man then we have been without him,Lacazette has been invisible!!
Nobody in the world can defend Giroud in the air!!
    He receives horseshit service!!
When they park the bus,Giroud has been and still is the answer!!
He ain’t pretty,he just scores goals, and in case you haven’t noticed,we been lacking in that department!!
Getting rid of Giroud is a big mistake!!
