Chelsea new signing Emerson Palmieri is set to make his long awaited debut on Friday against Hull City in the FA Cup according to Goal.
The left back who was signed late in the January transfer window has yet to make his debut appearing on the bench in the last two games, but he insists he is now ready to make his debut.
The Brazilian sustained a cruciate ligament injury at the end of last season and only made one start and one substitute appearance this season before moving to Chelsea, as Roma wanted to slowly eased him into the lineup.
His chance looks set to come in the FA Cup on Friday as Conte is expected to rotate his squad for that game with some key players to be rested ahead of the Champions league clash with Barcelona next week.
Emerson is very confident he has gotten over the injury and is ready to start playing for his new club, and in his statement in Chelsea’s match day programme for the game against West Brom he said: “Physically, I feel great, the injury is now in the past”
“They were six difficult months for me but what is important is right now and I feel good. I couldn’t feel better so I only have in mind the idea of training with my team and helping us achieve success.”
