Spain striker Fernando Torres has scored two crucial goals for the Blues in Europa League against Rubin Kazan in first-leg of quarter-final. This would be a better start for him to overcome his criticisms.
But he is fighting hard for his position and finding net in Premier League. Meantime, there is a speculation about his move to Atletico Madrid.
Chelsea has released teaser for their new kit recently and they have included in Torres in that so it tells he is not going anywhere.
29-year-old striker has commented after his two goals in Stamford Bridge and clarified he is staying until 2016.
Torres said: “I’ve never hidden that I am grateful because Atletico gave me many things, but the reality is I am in another team and I have three more years on my contract.
“I have a lot of things to give to Chelsea and many things to prove to myself before returning home.
“Right now, returning to Atletico is not a reality.”
Torres managed 19 goals this season and he is ready to prove his role in team. Interim manager Rafael Benitez and co players are praised him about his hard work in training session.
He was not picked for Spain squad in World cup qualifying matches, but he hopes he can return to national team soon.
“I hope to be able to return to the national team.
“The first step is to do well at my club and that will give me more options of returning.
“I want to do well in order to return. We have a lot to win and many joys to give people and many tournaments to play with this generation.
“Of course getting back in to the national team is one of my objectives.”
