Chelsea new signings Kepa Arrizabalaga and Mateo Kovacic both took part in their first training session at Cobham on Thursday.
The duo had their first taste of life under Maurizio Sarri as they met their new manager and teammates for the first time.
It is understood Sarri will hand Kepa an immediate debut in the Blues’ Premier League opener against Huddersfield on Saturday.
But Kovacic may need more time to build up match fitness – while Sarri already has plenty of options in midfield.
