Goal machine for The Citizens

Sergio+Aguero+Manchester+City

After returning from a calf injury, Sergio Aguero scored six times in four matches. The Argentinian also staged an impressive comeback in Manchester City.

Though Manchester City did not close any big signings this season, they are playing better than last season. Manager Manuel Pellegrini is happy with Aguero’s form and strongly believes City can end the season with some silverware.

Manchester City currently stands  second, one-point down from Arsenal, who has dominated the Premier League table for a long time. The last four months in the Premier League will be tough for all those fighting for a title.

Main rivals for City include Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. One little mistake could result in league table among contenders. City is riding a 10-match unbeaten streak and has scored 22 goals in the last five matches.

The 25-year-old is happy to be a part of the big club and ready to give his best for the trophies. In this term so far, Aguero has scored 25 goals in 24 appearances.

Aguero told: “The important thing is the goals contribute to the team’s victories and we win titles, I don’t have any specific goals to reach but (I want) as many as possible.”

“We weren’t expecting to score four goals. We knew at half time we needed to improve and in the end we won and we have made it to the next round. We are happy with that.”

Manchester City faces Tottenham in their next match in Premier League play.
