Barcelona’s forward Lionel Messi has said winning title is more vital than scoring goals. Last term was Messi’s best season for Barcelona and he scored 73 goals. Goals of Messi helped Barcelona to win World Club Cup and Spanish Super Cup.
But they failed to win La Liga cup and ruled out by Chelsea on Champions league semi-finals. He insisted that titles are important than personal records.
“I am not looking to beat my level of goals. This isn’t my objective. My objective is to win titles and this for us is fundamental.” Messi Said.
Barcelona started their pre-season training few days back. Pep Guardiola has resigned from Barcelona and they got new manager Tito Vilanova. Messi said there is no difference between Pep and Tito; Tito is doing same hard work like Pep and they are happy about the new manager.
26-years-old player told he would try beating his previous record and fight hard to get the title again. This will be their main objective in new season ahead. Barcelona are preparing to fight until the end to get the title.
He is looking ahead for new season and want to achieve new thing without making any mistakes.
Messi is happy about David Villa’s return. Villa suffered by broken leg in last season and was not able to play in Euro 2012 also. He completely fit now.
Messi believes Villa can give a fine game to team, and next season will be good for them.
He concluded: “We don’t lack any forward with the players we have got. Villa is recuperating very well, and we hope he will return to his best level. He is a very important footballer for us.”
