Reports in Spain are claiming Eden Hazard wants to join Real Madrid next summer.

The Belgium international has been linked with the Bernabeu club several times in the past but nothing concrete materialized.

It is being claimed that it was the ankle injury he sustained in June that stopped Madrid from making a move to sign him in the summer.

And Don Balon via the Daily Star are now claiming Real will make a move at the end of the season.

They also reckon that the 26 year old is determined to make the move to Madrid next summer, to the extent that he is frequently communicating with Real President Fiorentino Perez to sort out a move.

Hazard has three years left in his contract at Chelsea and has on several occasions flirted with a move to Madrid. His refusal to rule out leaving Stamford Bridge continues to strengthen these exit rumors.

Chelsea would be reluctant to let their star man and are likely going to frustrate Madrid’s attempts to sign him. There have even been talks of the club offering him a one year extension to his current deal to keep him out of the reach of his admirers.

Blues fans will be keen for Hazard to sign an extension because an exit will be a big blow to the club. It has become evident in recent weeks that we are over reliant on the Belgian for a creative spark and losing him means losing all the flair in the squad.
