John Terry has supported his striker Fernando Torres and has hope on him for last two months of this season. Torres has failed to score for continues 20 games and his goal in Europa League led them to Russia for next round.
Fernando Torres entered in Chelsea with big money and expectations, but Didier Drogba occupied his first full season. This term he played more games than last season of Premier League, but scored a few goals only.
Interim Manager Rafael Benitez also gave many chances to this Spain striker, but he didn’t found net for Chelsea.
Now, Chelsea defender has expressed his confident over Torres for rest of the matches.
“It only takes that one goal or something to happen for him to really kick on, but he’s putting in a shift for the team as well,”
“Sometimes that doesn’t get picked up as much as it should do. You know what it’s like for strikers. Mentally he has had to be very strong – and he is. He has got the full support of the fans and the players. It will always remain that way.
He added it: “We are eager for him to score goals. He will certainly get the support and the assists from the quality that we have in the side.”
Torres has huge support from fans as well as co-players so he can help team to avoid cup less season.
