Real Madrid stars Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema will both reportedly leave the Spanish capital this summer.

Real Madrid are set for a major squad overhaul at the end of the season following a disappointing La Liga campaign.

Club president Florentino Perez is set to splash the cash on a host of new Galacticos and that means he’ll have to sell some of his stars to raise funds.

And Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema are set to be the first two big names out the door, Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo claim.

They claim Bale ‘will leave for the Premier League’ with Manchester United and Tottenham both interested.

Jose Mourinho attempted to sign the Welshman last summer but Madrid were reluctant to sell back then.

However, United are long-term admirers of Bale and are likely to renew the interest when the transfer window reopens with the Portuguese eager to strengthen his attacking options.

Bale is also thought to be keen on the idea of a return to Spurs but it is not known if Mauricio Pochettino would entertain the idea of the forward signing.

The 28-year-old has struggled with injuries at Madrid and he feels he cannot get back to his best until he returns to England.

And with Bale still in high demand from the likes of United, Perez is keen to cash in on him this summer.

Benzema is the other player said to know his days are numbered in the Spanish capital.

The Frenchman has previously been linked with a move to Arsenal but he will explore the option of a big-money transfer to China, while a return to his homeland is also being considered.

Benzema has been with Madrid since joining from Lyon in 2009 and has netted 125 goals in 261 league appearances.
