Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly monitoring Liverpool midfielder Emre Can.
Can is gradually becoming a key figure at Liverpool and his rise hasn’t gone unnoticed to big clubs.
He was the subject of interest from Juventus in the just concluded transfer window but Liverpool had no interest in letting him leave.
They rebuffed all bids for the midfielder but it appears they face a fight to hold on to him in the future.
Juventus are believed to keeping a close eye on Can’s situation at Anfield ahead of a future swoop but that wouldn’t worry Liverppol fans as much as the recent reports emanating from Italy would.
According to Italian publication Tuttosport via the Daily Star, Manchester United and Chelsea are also interested in signing Can.
As if the midfielder attracting the interest of top rival clubs isn’t bad enough, the report reckons Bayern Munich will also be in the running for his services if he becomes available.
It is unlikely that he would move to a rival club anytime soon but you can’t rule out anything especially if he goes on to have a superb season for Liverpool this year.
At 23, Can will only get better, he has the potential to be an even better midfielder, all he needs is a good season under his belt and big clubs will be scrambling to sign him up.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Chelsea make a move then because he would fit into the club’s transfer policy of a talented young player with good resale value.
