Man United are looking to complete a deal for Brazilian wonderkid Malcom from Bordeaux.
It is believed that a deal could be completed as soon as January and according to Daily Star, he will be sent back on loan till the end of the season.
Bordeaux however, are looking at a fee of £50 million before they can do a deal, while Man Utd is reported to be looking to do a deal in the region of £33 million.
Paris Saint Germain have also declared interest in the youngster who is fast becoming one of the hottest properties in Europe, but they have to comply with Financial Fair Play rules, and after their huge outlay for Neymar and Mbappe during the summer, they won’t be able to do a deal.
This gives United a short term advantage which they seem to be keen on taking before summer when PSG can fully join the race.
Mourinho recently complained that the £300 million he has spent in the last 18 months is not enough, he is likely to be given more funds to improve the squad.
Malcom plays on the flanks and can also play through the middle, but he is a player in the mold of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford, two players already at the club and around the same age.
But then as with Guardiola’s City side, having a lot of options might not be entirely bad, but it’ll mean Mourinho would have to learn to rotate more often to keep all his players happy like his (across the city) counterpart.
Should we sign Malcom or should we look for other targets, what do you think? Drop your thoughts in the comment section below.
