The transfer saga involving Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez could be set for a fresh twist with German giants Borrusia Dortmund understood to be preparing a January offer for the Arsenal man.
The German side who still possess a lot of cash reserve from their record sale of Ousmane Dembele to Spanish giants Barcelona last summer are reportedly considering an approach for Sanchez, with a view to adequately replacing the departed French international.
The 28-year-old Chilean who made no secret of his desire to leave the Emirates in the summer window is still expected to depart the Emirates in one of the next two windows with his contract with the Gunners coming to an end at the end of the current campaign.
The Chilean as expected is being monitored by a host of top European clubs, Borrusia Dortmund are now understood to be amongst his suitors and they could very well submit an offer for Alexis when the winter transfer window opens in January.
According to Don Balon via Daily Cannon, Borussia Dortmund are the latest top European club to register their interest in the want away Arsenal winger.
Despite already signing Andriy Yarmolenko from Dynamo Kyiv to replace Dembele last summer, the report further states that Dortmund want a star player as a replacement for the 20-year-old.
The German club however have their work cut out in their quest to sign Sanchez as the player is understood to have prioritized a move to the Etihad as he wants to be reunited with former boss Pep Guardiola, whom he played under during their spell at Barcelona.
