Jose Mourinho insists Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian remain ‘part of his plans’ at Manchester United but he’ll allow them leave in the summer if they asked for a transfer and the right offer comes in, according to reports.

Recent reports suggested Blind and Darmian were told they were free to leave in the summer after quiet seasons at Old Trafford.

Both Blind, 28, and Italy international Darmian have started just three Premier League games this term but Mourinho says they are players he wants to keep.

‘They are part of my plans,’ the Red Devils boss said at Thursday’s pre-match press conference.

‘I think when a player wants to go… if that’s the case and when the right offers arrives in the club we study that because we always try to have the players happy.

‘So if happiness means for them to leave let’s see what happens but they are in my plans – I don’t want to sell, I want to keep.’
