Stuttgart youngster Berkay Ozcan says he isn’t ready for a move to Arsenal yet.
The young midfielder has revealed Arsenal’s interest in signing him but says he isn’t considering a move just yet because he doesn’t think it is the right time.
Accoring to the teenager, Arsenal scouts have been carrying regular checks on him in the last two years and have even gone has far as contacting his agent.
According to Football.London, who first revealed Arsenal’s interest in the youngster in March, Ozcan doesn’t want to make any hasty decision.
Speaking to beIN Turkey, the teenager said he thinks it would be best for him to stay at Stuttgart for now but refused to rule out a move to Arsenal, saying the Gunners are his dream club.
“My agent and I are in talks with Arsenal,” said Ozcan.
“Arsenal have been scouting me for the past two years and send representatives to watch my games.
“I am not sure if now is the right time to join Arsenal, it may be a bit early for me. I want to prove myself here and keep developing first.
“Ultimately, Arsenal is the club I want to join in the future, god willing I will achieve my goal.”
A talented playmaker who was born in Germany to Turkish parents, Ozcan has been compared to Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil.
The pair play in the same position and have same dual nationality, so it isn’t difficult to see why comparisons are being drawn.
Ozcan has the potential to reach Ozil’s level, it only remains to be seen whether he will make the right decision for his career development.
