Arsenal are not interested in signing Wilfred Zaha, according to the Daily Star.
Wenger has been linked with Zaha since his first stint at Crystal Palace but the tricky winger ended up Joining Manchester United. His spell as United wasn’t fruitful and he had to return to Selhurst Park.
Since returning to Selhurst Park, he’s still being linked with a move to Arsenal and he was recently touted as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez.
The Daily Star has now revealed that Arsenal are not looking at Zaha to replace Sanchez.
The report claim the Gunners are instead looking at Nabil Fekir to replace the Chilean.
Zaha isn’t on Arsenal’s radar and the club doesn’t intend to make a move for him in the new year.
Palace will also be reluctant to sell the winger who is regarded as a key part of their team. So it won’t be worth spending so much effort and time trying to sign Zaha when there are other top players who are readily available.
However, a summer move is plausible especially if Palace get relegated. The prospect of signing Zaha on a cheap if Palace doesn’t stay up will be too good to turn down and Arsenal could be one of the clubs looking to sign him then.
However a January move won’t happen as he isn’t in Wenger’s plans now.
