Paris Saint-Germain are confident they will land Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez next year.
The Paris club believe that the player’s close bond with Dani Alves coupled with the huge sign on fee on offer will ensure they beat Manchester City to his signature.
Alexis and Alves were very close during their spell at Barcelona and PSG believe the right back could very well convince the Chilean about making a move to the Parc des Princes.
The Paris club were credited with an interest in the Chilean winger during last summer’s transfer window but cooled efforts to sign him after making Neymar and Kylian Mbappe the two most expensive players in the world in an astonishing window.
City who were then favorites for his signature came agonizingly close to signing the player after their offer of £60million was accepted by the Gunners.
The player’s move to the Etihad eventually broke down as the Gunners were unable to get a replacement, in Thomas Lemar, on deadline day.
According to Chilean newspaper El Mercurio via Metro, PSG are confident that Sanchez’s close relationship with Dani Alves from his time at Barcelona will help persuade the forward to make the move.
The Same source had also previously reported that the 28-year-old had been offered a massive £9million signing-on fee by the French giants blowing City out of the race.
Paris Saint-Germain who are backed by the royal billions of Qatar, already have a fearsome strike force of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani but they are still desperate to add Sanchez in their quest to win the Champions League although Uruguayan forward Edinson Cavani who has already fallen out with world record signing Neymar over penalty-taking duties could be sold next summer to balance the books.
City will hope the player’s head is not turned, the winger had initially been understood to have prioritized a move to the Etihad as he wanted to be reunited with Pep Guardiola, whom he played under during their spell at Barcelona.
