Paris Saint-Germain are desperate to land Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez and will offer him a huge sign on fee to ensure they beat Manchester City to his signature.
Recent reports indicate the French giants could be set to usurp the Citizens in race for the Chilean with an outrageous offer on the table.
The Paris club were credited with an interest in the Chilean winger during last summer’s transfer window but cooled efforts to sign him after making Neymar and Kylian Mbappe the two most expensive players in the world in an astonishing window.
City who were then favorites for his signature came agonizingly close to signing the player after their offer of £60million was accepted by the Gunners. The player’s move to the Etihad eventually broke down as the Gunners were unable to get a replacement on deadline day.
According to Chilean newspaper El Mercurio via Express, Sanchez has reportedly been offered a massive £9million ‘advance’ on a January signing-on fee by Paris Saint-Germain, blowing City out of the water.
The report further states that the loaded French outfit are however unwilling to pay the 28-year-old the £400,000 per week he requested during talks last summer but offered to pay him around £275,000-a-week.
Paris Saint-Germain who are backed by the royal billions of Qatar, already have a fearsome strike force of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani but they are still desperate to add Sanchez in their quest to win the Champions League.
The report also states that Uruguayan forward Edinson Cavani who has already fallen out with world record signing Neymar over penalty-taking duties could be sold next summer to balance the books.
City are hoping the player’s head is not turned by such an outrageous offer, the 28-year-old had initially been understood to have prioritized a move to the Etihad as he wants to be reunited with Pep Guardiola, whom he played under during their spell at Barcelona.
