Everton have joined the race to sign Alexis Sanchez, according to reports.
The Sun on Sunday claim Everton will launch a £30m bid to sign Sanchez in the winter transfer window.
This comes days after reports surfaced that Arsenal will only sell sanchez if it receive a £30m bid from a suitor.
And according to the Sun, Everton owner Farhad Moshiri is prepared to bankroll the signing of Sanchez.
City, Paris Saint Germain and Manchester United have all been linked with the Chilean but Everton are watching the situation with keen interest and could be the latest club to join the race.
Sanchez’s contract expires at the end of the season, the Chile international doesn’t look like he wants to sign a new deal. It’s been said that he wants to move to a club where he’ll challenge for titles and you’ll agree with me that Everton is not that club.
The Toffees are only just trying to build a competitive squad and Sanchez’s ambitions mean he’d likely join an established club rather than one that is trying to build.
I really won’t pay any attention to the Everton-Sanchez links. It’s probably all made up. There is no denying the fact that the Toffees have high ambitions as they tried to sign Diego Costa from Chelsea in the summer, although the Brazilian eventually snubbed them. I don’t think they are at a level to attract top players like Sanchez, they should know that.
